Alex Molenaar won the 36th edition of the SPIE Internationale Juniorendriedaagse van Axel. Molenaar defeated leader Johan Tiedemann Langballe in the final stages of the Flemish Ardennes. Maikel Zijlaard won the fourth and final stage. It was the second victory for the Rotterdammer.
In the final stage six riders separated them from a well-drained peloton. Alex Molenaar, Thomas Pidcock, Mark Donovan, Maikel Zijlaard, Antoine Raugel and Anders Lilliendal drove a lead in a minute. Pidcock became a flat tire.

The Wales men Rhys Britton has written the third stage of the 36th SPIE Internationale Juniorendriedaagse van Axel. The rider of the Wales U19 team was the fastest of 3 flyers in the final sprint after a 102.8-kilometer race. The Italian Nicolo Parisini from team Lombardia became 2nd and his team mate Joshua Price completed the podium.
Maikel Zijlaard wins the 2nd stage with force majeure!
Maikel Zijlaard of RWC Ahoy (training team Roompot Orange Peleton) won by force majeure the individual time trial of the SPIE Internationale Juniorendriedaagse van Axel.
He scrapped the 11.1km in a time of 13:30:49 with a average speed of 49,304 km p/h.
2nd was Ward Vanhoof of Acrog Bales with a backlog of 11.4 seconds and 3rd became Manuel Michielsen of De Jonge Renner. World champion cyclocfoss Thomas Pidcock had to settle the 4th place.

The rider of team Herning CK Junior was the fastest of 3 headers in the final sprint after a 101.7 kilometer race. The American Cole Davis (USA U19) took the second place. Robin Blummel from team Willebrord Wil Vooruit completed the first three places.
Stefan Bissegger unapproachable in SPIE International Juniors Three Days (Video)
On Sunday the Swiss rider Stefan Bissegger wrote the final stage as the final standings of the 35th SPIE International Juniors Three Days to his name. The 18 year old rider defeated after a grueling fourth stage of 93.2 kilometers the Zeeuw Jarno Mobach (APT Douterloigne SPIE) in the final sprint. The Australian rider Harry Sweeny ( also APT SPIE Douterloigne) was third across the finish line.
Mobach is after more than 30 years after Niek de Taeye the second Zeeuw who knows how to reach the final stage of the Juniors Three Days. Davide Ferrari sprints to the victory of the third stage of the SPIE International Juniors Three Day
Saturday evening the third stage is won by the Italian Davide Ferrari. The rider from Lombardy Region was after a race of 102.8 kilometers, the fastest of the pack in the mass sprint. Maël Guégan (BTwin U19 Racing Team) stranded on the second place for the German Brückner Rico. De Zeeuw Jarno Mobach (APT SPIE Douterloigne) finished on the fifth place. The Swiss Stefan Bissegger retained the lead in the overall standings.

Stefan Bissegger won yesterday morning in Axel the second stage of the SPIE International Juniors Three Days. The rider of the Swiss selection was the only participant to remain under thirteen minutes in the time trial of about eleven kilometers. The Zeeuw Jarno Mobach (APT SPIE Douterloigne) finished on a creditable second place for his Australian teammate Harry Sweeny. Bissegger stage winner also took the lead in the overall standings.

The Frenchman Maël Guégan wrote the first stage of the 35th SPIE-International Juniors Three Days on his name. The rider of the Bwin U19 Racing Team was the fastest of eight escapees in the final sprint after a race of 101.7 kilometers. The British rider Reece Wood (Spokes Racing Team) had to settle for second place. The Norwegian Marius Wold (APT SPIE Douterloigne) completed the podium. De Zeeuw Wesley Mol (Acrog Balen BC) finished a creditable seventh place and so he won the white jersey. His province-mate Jarno Mobach is the leader in the cobblestones standings.
